Art therapy

Healing through the act of making

You don't need to be an artist. You just need to be willing to begin.

What is art therapy?

Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses the creative process as its primary language. It isn't about making beautiful things — it's about making honest ones. When words feel inadequate or out of reach, mark-making, colour, and form can open a door to what's really there.

I hold a Master's in Art Therapy from Metàfora Centre d'Estudis d'Art i Artteràpia in Barcelona, alongside a Postgraduate Diploma in Art Therapy & Community Art. I'm a member of the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT) and the European Federation of Art Therapy (EFAT). That grounding in both clinical training and years of studio practice shapes the way I work — with genuine respect for the creative process and a deep understanding of what it means to make something from the inside.

How we work

Sessions tailored to you

Individual sessions

One-to-one sessions offer a private, unhurried space to explore whatever you're carrying. We work at your pace, with no agenda beyond what feels true for you. Available in person and online.

Group sessions

Small group sessions bring the added dimension of shared experience — making alongside others can be quietly powerful. Groups are kept intentionally small to preserve a sense of safety and intimacy. Available in person and online.

Online sessions

Both individual and group sessions are available online, making art therapy accessible wherever you are. All you need is a quiet space, some basic materials, and a willingness to show up.

The approach

What to expect

Sessions are gentle and non-directive, drawing on attachment-informed and psychodynamic approaches. I won't tell you what your art means — instead, we'll explore it together, following your curiosity rather than any fixed interpretation. You might work with paint, collage, drawing, clay, or mixed media. You might sit with something unfinished for a long time. All of that is part of the process. There is no right way to do this.
